Also, plants are OGs. Did you know that if you speed up footage of a plant moving as it grows, it looks an awful lot like an animal probing around in the dark? 

Plants and animals share a lot of DNA, but one of the major differences is that the mechanisms for electrical signals moving through plants and animals are different - plants have their analogous version of a nervous system, it's just slow AF so they look like they're not moving to us. They live and exist in different time scales.

From an evolutionary standpoint, that raises some interesting and mildly uncomfortable questions about humans and machines. What if the best analogy to compare humans and increasingly complex AI is to try to imagine the position that plants were in when animals first started appearing in the world?
